Kompany stated, "We received information this morning that we shouldn't take too much risk with Konni. That's perfectly normal at this stage of the season. Honestly, I haven't thought about the national team yet."
A win against a winless Union Berlin would see the German record champions reclaim the top spot for the first time since the opening matchday, albeit potentially only for one night. Leaders SC Freiburg, Borussia Dortmund, and FC Augsburg could all overtake Bayern on Saturday.
