Inter Squad for International Break: Two New Call-ups

September 19, 2026Pablo Navarro1 мин

The list of players heading out for the international break, starting after this Serie A matchday (which kicked off with Friday's early game between Monza and Sassuolo), has been finalized.

Before detailing the choices made by European and non-European national team coaches regarding Inter players, it's worth noting two significant debuts for the club: Josep Martinez and Andy Diouf have received their first senior national team call-ups.

Martinez has been called up by Spain, replacing Joan Garcia who was injured in Barcelona's recent 7-2 win against Racing Santander. Diouf, meanwhile, earned his call-up from France not as a replacement for an injured player, but because his performances as a right-sided winger impressed the French coach Zinedine Zidane. He particularly stood out in the match against Real Madrid, winning most of his duels against Marc Cucurella.

Called-up Players
Here are all the Inter players selected by their respective national teams: J. Martinez (Spain), Bisseck (Germany), Akanji (Switzerland), Bastoni (Italy), Dimarco (Italy), Barella (Italy), Zielinski (Poland), Stankovic (Serbia), Sucic (Croatia), Diouf (France), Lautaro (Argentina), Pio Esposito (Italy), Bonny (France).
