Before detailing the choices made by European and non-European national team coaches regarding Inter players, it's worth noting two significant debuts for the club: Josep Martinez and Andy Diouf have received their first senior national team call-ups.
Martinez has been called up by Spain, replacing Joan Garcia who was injured in Barcelona's recent 7-2 win against Racing Santander. Diouf, meanwhile, earned his call-up from France not as a replacement for an injured player, but because his performances as a right-sided winger impressed the French coach Zinedine Zidane.
