Juventus National Team Update: Most Players Healthy, Monitoring Others

The international break brings mixed fortunes for Juventus players. The club's primary concern is the well-being of its squad, especially with a currently full infirmary. Youngster Augusto Owusu, recently called up from the NextGen team to cover absences, has himself suffered a muscular issue expected to keep him out for 2-3 weeks.

Francisco Conceicao, however, has only sustained a knock to his thigh and knee and remains with the Portuguese squad. He performed well against Norway and is expected back in Turin as planned.

Pierre Kalulu is also doing well. After an initial substitute appearance, he featured prominently against Belgium, contributing both defensively and offensively. Kerim Alajbegovic has become a consistent presence for Bosnia and Herzegovina, showing flashes of brilliance despite his young age. Coach Spalletti, however, seeks tactical growth from him.

Teun Koopmeiners has yet to play for the Netherlands, remaining on the fringes of the starting lineup. Douglas Luiz played the first match with Brazil, which ended in a draw amidst criticism, but watched from the bench as Brazil won 2-4 against Australia.

Zeki Celik and Turkey experienced a tough 1-4 defeat against Italy. Jhon Lucumi and Pape Matar Sarr are key starters for Colombia and Senegal, respectively. Vicario and Woltemade have seen limited game time for Italy and Germany.

Edon Zhegrova, on the other hand, has been a standout for Kosovo. After months as a supporting player, he has taken charge, starting one match, coming off the bench in another, scoring a goal, and showcasing significant quality. It's a pity he wasn't included in the UEFA list.
