Oumar Solet was a name linked with Inter Milan for a while last summer. Despite considerable interest, the defender remained in Udine. Speaking to Sky Sport during the presentation of Udinese's third kit, the French player shared his thoughts.
"Udinese needs me, and I need them too. I'm doing well, I'm back on the field with the team, and I can be available for the upcoming matches."
When asked about the team's difficulties amidst numerous absences, Solet commented, "It's partly that. It's tough for a coach not to have all his players. However, the other players are also strong, and we have great belief in our squad. We need to be like we were last year, and we know we can do it. We're looking ahead, focusing on working even harder. I can't wait for the next games."
Regarding speculation about his potential departure last summer, he said, "As I always say, I'm focused on Udinese. I don't want to listen to the rumors. It's more important for me to do my job well here, and I let my performance on the field speak for itself."
On his playing style, which involves strong defensive play alongside venturing forward with the ball, Solet stated, "I believe I've always played this way. When I'm on the field, I want to enjoy myself by helping the team and showcasing all my qualities. I'm very happy to have these aspects in my game."
