English champions FC Arsenal are considering strengthening their attack with French international Bradley Barcola (23) from Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain.
According to The Independent, the Gunners’ management is currently gathering information on the winger’s situation, with a transfer offer to PSG being the next potential step.
Arsenal is in search of a versatile left-winger who can provide a top-class alternative to Gabriel Martinelli (25) and Leandro Trossard (31) on the left flank. Barcola appears to fit this profile perfectly and is reportedly available this summer.
The World Cup participant, who scored in France’s 3-1 opening match win against Senegal, is under contract with the French capital club until 2028. However, various media reports in recent days suggest he is contemplating a move for the upcoming season.
The reason for this potential departure is that despite being a former transfer target for FC Bayern, he frequently features under head coach Luis Enrique (56) but often starts on the bench in crucial matches. PSG’s philosophy is to not hold back players who wish to leave and to allow unhappy players to depart.
Bradley Barcola Also Linked with FC Liverpool
Should Barcola actively seek a transfer, he has several options. Besides Arsenal, he is also being considered as a new signing by FC Liverpool. The Reds are reportedly looking to sign two new wingers after a mediocre last season and the departure of superstar Mohamed Salah. One of these targets is said to be LaLiga’s breakout star Victor Munoz (22) from CA Osasuna, with his €40 million transfer reportedly imminent.
In addition to Barcola, Yan Diomande (19) is also being discussed. The exciting prospect from RB Leipzig is, intriguingly, also being considered as a replacement for Barcola in Paris.
Barcola moved from Olympique Lyon to PSG in 2023 for a transfer fee of €45 million. Since then, he has won the Ligue 1 championship three times and two Champions League titles, among other achievements. In 152 appearances for Paris, he has recorded 76 goal contributions (39 goals, 37 assists).
Meanwhile, Arsenal is not solely focused on Barcola. Morgan Rogers (23, Aston Villa) and Julian Alvarez (26, Atletico Madrid) are also considered candidates for their attack, though both face strong competition.
