Unacceptable and Incomprehensible! FC Bayern Outraged After Real Madrid Match
Following their 2-1 Champions League victory against Real Madrid, FC Bayern officials have strongly criticized the actions taken by local security authorities against their Munich-based supporters.
CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, reflecting on what should have been "a wonderful Champions League night," condemned the "completely excessive assaults by the Spanish police against our fans."
Video footage from reporters at the sports program 'El Desmarque' depicts helmeted police officers at the Bernabéu Stadium entrance intimidating FC Bayern fans without apparent provocation. The footage shows officers pushing supporters, pulling them from the crowd, and in some instances, striking them with batons. One clip even shows a man bleeding from the head, although the cause of his injury is not specified.
"This treatment of our peace-abiding supporters is incomprehensible and unacceptable," Dreesen stated in a club declaration. He added that it's "untenable that such police behavior is now almost becoming the norm at away matches in Europe."
FC Bayern Initiates Legal Action After PSG Fan Treatment
Similar issues arose in November. Before an away game against Paris Saint-Germain, the French capital's police prefecture abruptly mandated that buses carrying Munich fans gather at a toll station just outside the city gates. This location lacked essential amenities such as catering facilities or restrooms. Consequently, FC Bayern had initiated legal proceedings over these "unprecedented" and "outrageous" measures.
