However, instead of being sent off, the Uruguayan continued playing for another six minutes before coach Marcelo Bielsa substituted him for Brian Rodriguez in the 87th minute. Consequently, Uruguay played with eleven men until the end, eventually scoring an equalizer in the fourth minute of stoppage time through a penalty from Real Madrid star Fede Valverde.

'Not a Good Performance at All!' Tuchel Criticizes Referee Jablonski

'I didn't think it was a good performance at all,' England coach Thomas Tuchel fumed about the referee after the final whistle. 'There were discussions about a player receiving two yellow cards in a game but not being sent off. A bad day for him.'
