The Wagner Family's Basketball Rule: Keeping Life Balanced

The World Cup-winning brothers' family makes a conscious effort to discuss other topics. Beate Wagner, their mother, revealed in an interview with undrafted that there's a family rule: "We generally only talk about basketball if the boys want to."
This policy is strictly adhered to by Beate and her husband, Axel Schulz, whether they are in Florida or connecting via FaceTime. "As parents, we don't initiate the conversation," Beate explained. "As a mom, that's sometimes very difficult for me because I'm itching to know what's going on."
Moritz Wagner transitioned from the Michigan Wolverines college team to the NBA in 2018, followed by Franz in 2021. Since then, the brothers from Berlin have played side-by-side for the Orlando Magic.
