Robert Lewandowski Transfer Speculation: Juventus Turin Reportedly Intensifies Pursuit of Barcelona Star
Robert Lewandowski's future beyond the upcoming summer remains uncertain, but a top club is reportedly already positioning itself for a potential move.
Reports suggest that Italian record champions Juventus Turin are intensifying their efforts to sign the Polish national striker for the upcoming season.
It is rumored that a meeting took place between Lewandowski and representatives of the "Old Lady" on the sidelines of a recent World Cup qualifier between Poland and Albania (2-1). During this meeting, the possibility of the 37-year-old donning the Juve jersey from summer onwards was reportedly discussed.
At his current club, FC Barcelona, Lewandowski's contract expires at the end of the season. While recent reports have predominantly suggested a parting of ways, it was recently reported that the Catalan club intends to keep the Polish forward and instead look to monetize fellow striker Ferran Torres.
The 37-year-old has consistently remained tight-lipped about his future, only stating that both staying at Barca and moving to another club are possibilities for him. "I don't know. Because I have to feel it. At the moment, I can't tell you anything because I'm not even 50 percent sure which path I want to take. Now is not the right moment," he said in early March.
Will Juventus Need to Replace Vlahovic This Summer?
Lewandowski, who moved from FC Bayern to Barcelona in 2022, is no longer the undisputed first choice in the Catalan attack since this season. Nevertheless, under coach Hansi Flick, he remains a significant part of the team. In the current 2025/26 season, he has so far contributed 16 goals and three assists in 37 appearances.
Meanwhile, Juventus is looking for a new striker to replace the reportedly departing Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian's contract, who has been sidelined since mid-December with an adductor injury, expires in Turin this summer, potentially allowing him to leave on a free transfer.
However, a recent turnaround has also been reported regarding Vlahovic's situation. He is said to be in talks with Juve, negotiating options for a potential contract extension.
