RB Leipzig Faces Potential Sales of Top Stars, Earning Up to 200 Million Euros

RB Leipzig might be on the verge of losing two significant talents, with Yan Diomande reportedly heading to Real Madrid and Antonio Nusa also being eyed by another club. This potential double departure could bring in a substantial amount of revenue for the German club.

According to reports from the Italian sports newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, AS Roma is prepared to meet RB Leipzig's valuation of Norwegian player Antonio Nusa, reportedly seeking €60 million for the 21-year-old. Nusa is said to be a key target for Roma's coach Gian Piero Gasperini, and the player has reportedly given his initial consent to a move to Italy.

The main hurdle for this transfer appears to be RB Leipzig's approval. The club is expected to finalize the sale of Yan Diomande to Real Madrid in the coming days. Information from Sky suggests that Leipzig will receive a base transfer fee of €125 million for Diomande, with potential bonuses that could increase the total to €140 million. If they also manage to sell Nusa for €60 million, RB Leipzig could achieve total earnings of up to €200 million.

However, such significant sales would mean the club would have to begin the upcoming season without two of their key wing players, necessitating a swift acquisition of replacements. This situation would undoubtedly present a greater challenge for the new RB Leipzig coach, Martin Demichelis, who has taken over from Ole Werner.

Antonio Nusa is currently under contract with RB Leipzig until 2029. The club acquired him two years ago from Club Brugge in Belgium for a transfer fee of €21 million. Since joining the Bundesliga, the winger has shown good development, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists in 56 appearances in Germany's top flight.

Nusa also participated in the World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico with the Norwegian national team. He was a regular starter for coach Stale Solbakken's squad, which impressively reached the quarterfinals, notably defeating Brazil, before being narrowly defeated 1-2 in extra time by England.
