National Player Extends Contract Amid Bayern Munich Interest

National team player Yann Bisseck has extended his contract with the Italian double winner Inter Milan until 2031.

The club announced this on Wednesday, describing the 25-year-old in their press release as 'the outstanding figure in defense' with an 'impressive physical presence'.

Bisseck has played his only international match to date in the Nations League quarter-final second leg against Italy (3-3). Under new national coach Jürgen Klopp, he could get further opportunities.

For Inter, Bisseck is indispensable; he is a regular starter and the central man in Inter's three-man defense. His contract extension is expected to bring a significant salary increase.

In recent weeks and months, FC Bayern has repeatedly been mentioned as an interested party in a potential signing of Bisseck. Various media outlets reported that the Munich club was considering the 25-year-old as an alternative for the defensive midfield, should players like Min-Jae Kim or Hiroki Ito leave the club.

Nevertheless, it had already been indicated recently that Bisseck would extend his contract. His previous contract was already set to run until 2029.
