German record champions Bayern Munich continue to hold out hope for striker Harry Kane's participation in the crucial match against Real Madrid. Despite recent ankle problems, the club is optimistic about his swift return.

"The physios are working on it. He is constantly at the training ground receiving treatment. We believe it will work," stated Sporting Director Max Eberl after Bayern's 3-2 comeback victory over SC Freiburg, a game Kane missed due to his injury.

Kane was absent from Bayern's spectacular recovery from a 0-2 deficit in Freiburg due to his ankle issues. However, the prolific Englishman is eagerly anticipated to lead the attack against the record Champions League winners on Tuesday.

Joshua Kimmich Convinced of Kane's Involvement

"I am generally a positive person," Eberl remarked, expressing his confidence. Manager Vincent Kompany shared a similar sentiment, saying, "I have a feeling he will make it." Midfielder Joshua Kimmich was even more resolute about his teammate's availability.

"He'll even play in a wheelchair," the Germany captain playfully asserted, adding, "I expect him to be fit on the pitch on Tuesday."

Real Madrid Suffers Setback Before Bayern Encounter

In preparation for the upcoming Champions League clash, Manager Vincent Kompany strategically rested several key players during the Freiburg match. Michael Olise and Konrad Laimer were introduced in the second half, while Dayot Upamecano remained on the bench. Jamal Musiala and Alphonso Davies, who had recently been recovering from injuries, also saw game time in the second half.
