The 40-year-old veteran goalkeeper is now available for selection, making him a strong candidate for the highly anticipated Champions League clashes against Real Madrid.
Neuer is also considered an option for the Bundesliga fixture against SC Freiburg on April 4th, which serves as a vital preparation match before facing Real. The first leg against the record Champions League winners is scheduled to take place three days later at the Santiago Bernabéu, with the decisive return leg in Munich a week later.
Three weeks ago, Neuer suffered a muscle fiber tear in his left calf during Bayern's 4-1 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach. This marked a recurrence of an injury he sustained in mid-February during a league match against Werder Bremen, which had previously sidelined him for several weeks. During his absence, Jonas Urbig and, at times, Sven Ulreich stepped in to guard the net.
