FC Bayern Munich Reportedly Agree to Alexander Nübel's Departure to Besiktas
FC Bayern Munich appears to have reached an agreement with Besiktas Istanbul for the transfer of Alexander Nübel. Multiple media outlets are reporting this development.
According to a report from Sky, a transfer fee has been agreed upon between the Istanbul club and the Munich giants. Furthermore, the goalkeeper has reportedly agreed to a contract with the Turkish top club until 2029.
However, there are slight discrepancies in the reported transfer fee package. While reports from Turkey suggest Bayern would receive five million euros upfront and an additional five million euros in bonuses, Sky states a base transfer fee of 6.5 million euros. The outstanding agreement regarding the termination of Nübel's contract with Bayern has also reportedly been finalized.
Regardless of whether the total package amounts to ten or 11.5 million euros, it is evident that Bayern Munich has significantly compromised on their initial valuation. The German record champions were reportedly seeking a fee of 20 million euros for Nübel's sale. Nevertheless, the departure of the goalkeeper will free up a substantial salary for FCB, reportedly up to twelve million euros gross per year.
Alexander Nübel Played Only Four Games for FC Bayern
Nübel, who most recently spent three seasons on loan at VfB Stuttgart and also earned his German international caps during this period, moved to Munich from FC Schalke 04 in 2020 and has a contract until 2030. Since his arrival, he has only made four appearances for FCB. From 2021 to 2023, Nübel was on loan at AS Monaco.
As early as mid-May, Sporting Director Christoph Freund confirmed that Nübel had no future at Bayern. "We had an exchange with his management, and Alex also knows our plans," he stated at the end of the Bundesliga season.
