It appears that Antonio Rüdiger is attracting interest not only from Real Madrid and Juventus Turin but also from two prominent English clubs.
The contract negotiations surrounding Antonio Rüdiger seem to be intensifying. Following reports that Real Madrid offered the German defender a contract extension, new rumors from Italy suggest that Rüdiger's market value might be higher than initially thought.
Beyond Real Madrid and Juventus, both Manchester United and Liverpool are reportedly keen on acquiring the services of the central defender, whose current contract expires this summer. Juventus is said to be offering the 33-year-old a two-year deal worth a total of ten to twelve million euros.
Real Madrid's offer, in contrast, is reportedly for just one year and five million euros. A significant factor in Rüdiger's decision-making is also his current standing within the team and potential future coaching developments. He currently features prominently in the central defense, a situation that may contrast with previous periods or coaching preferences.
Rüdiger in Madrid Since 2022
Rüdiger has been playing for Real Madrid since 2022, having made 174 competitive appearances for the club. In 2023, during his debut season with Real, the German international secured his second Champions League title, having previously lifted the trophy with Chelsea in 2021.
Rüdiger's breakthrough came at VfB Stuttgart starting in 2012. He then moved to AS Roma in Serie A, initially on loan in 2015 before making the move permanent a year later. After two years in the Italian capital, he departed for Chelsea in London in 2017 for 35 million euros.
