Serie A: Niclas Füllkrug Subbed in for Milan’s Goalless Top Match — Yann Bisseck Scores in Inter’s Near Title Clincher

Inter Milan is on the verge of securing their 21st Serie A championship. Despite dropping points in Turin, their lead remains substantial. Meanwhile, AC Milan and Juventus played out a goalless draw in a highly anticipated match.

Inter Milan is now in a commanding position to claim their 21st Italian league title. In the 34th round of Serie A, the team featuring German international Yann Bisseck drew 2-2 (1-0) against Torino FC. With four games left to play, Inter holds a ten-point advantage over defending champions SSC Napoli. Furthermore, Inter boasts a significantly superior goal difference. A home victory against Parma next Sunday could officially seal their championship.

City rivals AC Milan played to a 0-0 draw against record champions Juventus Turin. German international striker Niclas Füllkrug was substituted into the match for the hosts in the 62nd minute. Milan (67 points) remains in third place, ahead of Juventus (64 points), who could have drawn level on points with a win.

Inter Milan Aims for the National Double

Former Borussia Mönchengladbach player Marcus Thuram put Inter in the lead in Turin in the 23rd minute. Bisseck doubled the lead with a header in the 61st minute from a corner kick. This marked the third league goal of the season for the 25-year-old center-back. Giovanni Simeone pulled one back for Torino in the 70th minute, and Nikola Vlasic equalized from the penalty spot in the 79th minute.

Inter had already secured their spot in the Italian Cup final last week. On May 13th, coach Cristian Chivu’s team will face Lazio Rome. This would be Inter’s tenth Coppa Italia title in their history. In the Champions League, the Italian powerhouse was surprisingly eliminated in the playoff for the round of 16 by the underdog Bodø/Glimt.
