The agent of Borussia Dortmund’s top scorer, Serhou Guirassy, has spoken candidly to Sky regarding the ongoing transfer speculation.
Karamba Guirassy, the 30-year-old’s brother and agent, has dismissed rumors of a completed transfer to Istanbul club Fenerbahce, stating: «To be clear: no agreement of any kind has been reached. Serhou is currently evaluating his options for the coming season. Claims of a verbal agreement are simply untrue.»
Despite this denial, there is no immediate relief for Borussia Dortmund. The fact that the prolific striker is exploring his options underscores the precarious situation for the club. Guirassy, who has been BVB’s outstanding goalscorer since his arrival in the summer of 2024, is attracting interest from top European clubs. In addition to Fenerbahce, reports from the pay-TV broadcaster indicate that major clubs such as Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur, and Atletico Madrid are also making inquiries.
The Dortmund management is fully aware of the striker’s immense importance. To prevent the potential loss of their star forward, the club’s hierarchy has already taken steps.
Guirassy’s Decision May Take Some Time
According to the report, BVB officials have recently engaged in fresh talks with the striker, attempting to persuade him to extend his stay beyond the end of the season and to present him with a long-term perspective at the Signal Iduna Park. The challenge for the Black and Yellows is that the 30-year-old is likely to make a final decision about his footballing future only after the World Cup.
The statistics highlight why Guirassy is so sought after and why BVB is fighting so hard for him. Since 2024, Guirassy has played 96 competitive matches for the Westphalians, scoring 60 goals and providing 15 assists.
Could Fisnik Asllani Replace Guirassy at BVB?
In the event that Guirassy accepts an offer from other clubs, BVB has already begun scouting the market. According to *Sky* information, one name is at the top of Dortmund’s wish list: Fisnik Asllani. The young forward from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim is considered internally as the most promising candidate to fill the significant void at center forward should the negotiations for Guirassy end unfavorably for BVB in the summer. Recent reports suggest that further discussions with Asllani have taken place.
Regarding Guirassy, Turkish media in particular had been rife with reports suggesting the Guinean international striker was preparing for a move to Istanbul. There was even talk of a fixed, verbal agreement with the traditional club Fenerbahce.
