Harry Kane has guided England’s national football team to a laborious victory in their penultimate World Cup test match. The star striker from Bayern Munich scored the only goal in a uninspiring 1-0 (1-0) win against World Cup participant New Zealand on Saturday in Tampa/Florida for the team managed by national coach Thomas Tuchel.
The former Bayern coach fielded a completely refreshed team after the halftime break, and Kane was substituted off after his header found the net in the 45th+2 minute. Tuchel opted not to include Arsenal’s Declan Rice, Eberechi Eze, Bukayo Saka, and Noni Madueke, who had lost the Champions League final to Paris Saint-Germain a week prior.
England will play their final preparation match for the World Cup in the USA, Mexico, and Canada on Wednesday (10:00 PM CET/DAZN) against Costa Rica. In Group L, they will then face Croatia (June 17), Ghana (June 23), and Panama (June 27).
