Kenan Yildiz is set to lead the attack for Juventus in their upcoming match against Venezia. His absence during a recent two-match suspension, which saw him miss key games against Bologna and Lazio, was certainly felt by the team.
However, Yildiz made a strong return by driving Juventus`s offensive efforts in the match against Udinese. The young number 10 showcased his talent as an excellent attacking playmaker, providing two crucial assists for the goals scored by Nico Gonzalez (who appears transformed since Igor Tudor took over from Thiago Motta) and Dušan Vlahović.
Reflecting on his suspension, Yildiz commented, “I`m very sorry for the two-game ban, I still want to apologize to the team and the fans. Now we look forward, I am positive. We must fight until the end for the Champions League.”
The Turkish talent is now called upon to provide his crucial quality as Juventus desperately seek to improve their away form. The team hasn`t secured an away victory in two months, with their last win on the road coming on February 23rd in Cagliari.
Away from the Allianz Stadium in Turin, this current Juventus side has recorded their worst performance in 15 years, since the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons. With only 6 away wins and an average of just 1.5 points per game on their travels, the team needs a significant turnaround. Against Venezia, simply earning a draw might not be enough to meet their objectives.
