Chiavari, Italy –
The summer break is officially over for Virtus Entella. The team from Chiavari is packing their bags and heading to Tavarone, ready to commence their pre-season training camp and lay the crucial groundwork for the upcoming football campaign. Starting today, the focus shifts firmly back to the pitch with the initial training session scheduled for the late afternoon.
The Tavarone camp is set to be an intense period, lasting until August 2nd. Under the guidance of coach Chiappella, the squad will endure double training sessions – one in the morning and one in the afternoon – every day from Monday through Saturday. No gentle return here; it`s straight into the demanding physical and tactical preparation phase.
Before diving into formal match play, Entella has scheduled a joint training session. This collaborative exercise will take place on July 17th at 6:00 PM, with Atletico Casarza providing the opposition for what amounts to an extended, controlled practice match.
Adding structure to the early pre-season build-up, the club has also confirmed its first three friendly fixtures. These matches offer the first opportunities for the coaching staff to assess player fitness, test tactical setups, and begin integrating new faces, if any.
The friendly schedule kicks off on July 19th at 6:00 PM. Virtus Entella will face Livorno in Tavarone. This opening encounter should provide a suitable initial test after the first week of intensive training.
A sterner challenge awaits on July 26th at 6:30 PM, when Entella travels away to take on Empoli at the Centro Sportivo Petroio. Facing a club currently operating in a higher division offers a valuable benchmark for where Entella stands early in their preparations.
The third confirmed friendly sees Entella back in Tavarone on July 30th for a 6:00 PM kick-off against Bra. This match rounds out the initial set of fixtures, providing another chance for players to gain match sharpness and for the coach to refine his plans.
These early friendlies are more than just games; they are vital components of the pre-season strategy, designed to push the players, build cohesion, and identify areas for improvement ahead of the competitive season. Fans will undoubtedly be watching closely to see the first signs of the team taking shape.
