Christian Vieri spoke to Sportmediaset about Juventus`s decision to change their coach. After dismissing Thiago Motta, they appointed former Juventus player Igor Tudor to manage the first team. Here are Vieri`s comments, as reported by TMW:
Regarding Thiago Motta`s dismissal and whether Tudor is the right choice, Vieri said:
“I have no idea why Motta was dismissed. You never really know the full story or the relationships within the club. However, if Juventus made a change, it clearly indicates they were not satisfied. Juventus rarely changes coaches mid-season. Tudor is a capable coach; his first half at the Olimpico was good, and they have room for improvement. He will manage for now, but the future is uncertain, and the club will make further decisions.”
Vieri also commented on the general issue of changing coaches mid-season, relating it to AC Milan`s situation:
“Personally, I would never change a coach mid-season; I`m not a believer in that approach. Building a team requires time, which is often lacking in Italian football, especially at বড় clubs. Players need time to adjust, and the coach needs time to figure out the best way to utilize them. It`s a gradual process. Coaches need to be given time; otherwise, constant changes can lead to chaos. However, club presidents invest the money and ultimately have the right to make these decisions.”
