Udinese Coach Kosta Runjaic: ‘We Should Not Have Lost at Home’

Udinese coach Kosta Runjaic shared his thoughts following the team`s 2-1 home defeat against Monza, who are currently at the bottom of the league table. Next week, the Friulian side is scheduled to play away against Juventus.

Commenting on the match, Runjaic stated:

First of all, there are some happy people today, and those are the people from Monza, so congratulations to them. We played poorly, and the result is a consequence of that. The result is strange, but that`s how football is. We are certainly not Manchester City, but at home, against the team last in the standings, we must be able to win. We had a bad game and made mistakes; it`s not a matter of small details. At the very least, we shouldn`t have lost at home.

In the second half, I thought about increasing the pressure because Monza hadn`t caused us many problems, by bringing on Lucca and Lovric. It didn`t turn out to be the winning choice, despite Lucca`s splendid goal and his header plays. We feel sorry for our fans for this defeat and how it came about.
