Timothy Weah Hesitates on Nottingham Forest Move

Timothy Weah is reportedly determined to remain at Juventus and compete for a place under the new coach, Igor Tudor. The American international, who showed glimpses of his potential in his first season, particularly during the initial phase, is understood to be unenthusiastic about a potential move to Nottingham Forest.

Despite a debut campaign that was not consistently brilliant and saw him potentially listed among players available for transfer, a sale could still yield a significant profit for Juventus. Speculation suggests a fee around 15 million euros, representing a good capital gain compared to his current book value of approximately 8 million euros.

Adding to the complexity is his current salary, estimated at around 2 million euros, which Weah would likely want to see increased. While the prospect of playing in the Premier League, often hailed as the world`s best, is tempting, the opportunity to compete in the Champions League with Juventus, following his experience in the Club World Cup, remains highly appealing.

However, the situation is also influenced by Tudor`s stance, who has reportedly given his approval for Weah`s departure to make way for a wide player with different attributes. The primary target identified to potentially replace him is Dodô of Fiorentina, who has expressed a desire to leave but is valued at a higher price point of 25 million euros, 10 million more than Weah`s potential transfer fee. Nottingham Forest is also monitoring Mbangula, alongside other potential targets.
