Teotino: Juventus Still Haunted by Old Problems, Motta Perhaps Unjustly Blamed

Gianfranco Teotino, speaking from the Sky Sport studios, discussed the new period of crisis currently affecting Juventus. He pointed out that the old problems persist. Interestingly, Juventus is arguably the only team among those competing for a Champions League spot that has maintained a relatively constant pace from the beginning of the season until now. In contrast, teams like Lazio started very strongly before fading, while Roma began slowly.

Juventus has maintained a similar points average in both the first and second halves of the season. They continue to experience these constant ups and downs, this persistent inability to capitalize even on positive spells, such as the initial matches under Tudor, which had instilled greater confidence and rekindled a lost enthusiasm around the team. Yet, they stumbled once again, against a team clearly inferior in technical, tactical, competitive, and quality terms, among others.

Once again, during the match itself, they were unable to overturn a negative situation or change their rhythm. Teotino believes this problem is structural and that perhaps, in the end, Thiago Motta has been attributed more blame than he actually deserves.
