Sports executive Stefano Capozucca has issued a warning to Napoli regarding their upcoming match against Cagliari. Speaking in an interview, Capozucca highlighted that Cagliari will arrive at the Maradona stadium feeling calm and relaxed, having already secured their Serie A safety. He emphasized that a team playing without the pressure of needing points can be particularly dangerous and should not be underestimated based on their current league position.
“Cagliari will be tranquil and serene at the Maradona,” Capozucca stated. “They achieved a deserved safety, and when you play with serenity, you can cause damage. This is a greater danger for Napoli; I wouldn`t trust Cagliari`s league position.”
Capozucca added that Napoli, being so close to achieving their objective (presumably referring to the Scudetto), must perform at their absolute best. He stressed that no opponent will make things easy for them, and they must earn everything on the pitch.
He also commented on goalkeeper Caprile, who has been given an opportunity and accepted it, noting that the player will be motivated to prove Napoli made a mistake in allowing him to leave. Capozucca pointed out that professional players always strive to fulfill their role effectively.
Concluding his remarks, Capozucca praised Napoli`s overall performance in recent years, aside from the challenges of the past season. He highlighted that the club is now on the verge of potentially securing a second league title in three years and affirmed that the club`s management is working effectively despite any public controversies.
