Transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio has provided an update on the situation concerning coach Gian Piero Gasperini. He states: “The meeting with Gian Piero Gasperini was positive, and he has taken two or three days to give his definitive approval,” explained Di Marzio on his website.
“Today`s meeting – May 29th – involving Ranieri, Ghisolfi, Friedkin, and Gasperini was productive, but not yet completely decisive. There is no signature from the coach, nor a total agreement on all points discussed.”
Key topics such as club planning, transfer market strategy, and other relevant matters were addressed during the discussion.
“There is a good rapport with all parties involved, significant mutual respect with Ranieri, and now Gasperini has requested two or three days to provide his final OK.”
Regarding the potential threat from Juventus for Roma`s pursuit of Gasperini, Di Marzio notes: “At the moment, there have only been indirect contacts [from Juventus], no concrete demonstration of interest. It remains to be seen if the Bianconeri will actively enter the picture or not, but time is limited, and Roma, having acted early, benefits from this situation.”
