Leon Goretzka's Future: Mega Offers from Istanbul, Milan, and Premier League After Bayern Exit
Leon Goretzka, whose contract with FC Bayern is not being extended, is reportedly a target for several major clubs, attracting lucrative offers from across Europe.
Turkish club Fenerbahce Istanbul is reportedly making a strong push to sign the German international. They are prepared to meet Goretzka's demands, offering a three-year contract and a 10 million Euro signing bonus. A meeting with German coach Domenico Tedesco is also said to be planned. Fenerbahce is also reportedly interested in Julian Brandt, who is set to leave Dortmund on a free transfer.
In Italy, AC Milan has also reportedly offered Goretzka a three-year deal. The club is aiming to outbid other interested parties like Juventus for the departing Bayern star. Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri is said to view Goretzka as a top transfer target, with an offer of an annual salary of five million euros plus bonuses. Inter Milan is also reportedly among the interested Serie A clubs.
Goretzka Rejects Winter Move at FC Bayern
Despite his contract not being renewed by the German record champions, Goretzka chose to complete the current season with FC Bayern. He reportedly had a ready-to-sign contract from Atletico Madrid in winter but decided to stay, emphasizing his desire to compete for titles with Munich.
Goretzka stated months ago that he felt honored by the interest from other international top clubs but made the decision to finish the season at FC Bayern. He highlighted his enjoyment of playing with the team and under coach Vincent Kompany, who has forged the squad into a true unit, expressing a deep connection to the team and the club, with a shared goal of celebrating major titles.
Goretzka's Preferred Destination is Reportedly the Premier League
Goretzka is expected to make a decision about his future after the upcoming World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. There will be no shortage of suitors, with several top English clubs having already expressed interest. The Premier League is reportedly Goretzka's preferred destination.
Arsenal is considered to have a strong chance, as they are currently leading their league and are set to play in the Champions League next season, unlike Tottenham Hotspur, who are also interested but might end up in the Championship. However, a concrete offer from Arsenal has not yet materialized.
Atletico Madrid is also anticipated to re-enter the race with another offer in the summer.
