Sella on Roma’s Coaching Search: Allegri Possible With Investment

Ezio Sella, speaking on TMW Radio, shared his views on the future of AS Roma following Claudio Ranieri`s departure. Sella commented, “Ranieri took charge of a disorganized team, somewhat adrift, where players tended to operate independently. He succeeded in improving the players` physical, psychological, and tactical condition. He implemented simple yet effective strategies often neglected in modern football. Roma has a capable squad, and Ranieri brought stability while making the most of each player`s abilities. He performed an outstanding job.”

Regarding the next coach, Sella stated, “It hinges on the club`s project. If Roma aims to build a team capable of competing for the Scudetto and is willing to invest significantly, then even someone like Allegri could be considered. However, if the club isn`t planning for that level of large-scale, long-term investment, and prefers a coach to build gradually over time, then perhaps Fabregas would be a more fitting choice.”
