Recent reports have linked Juventus player Nicolò Savona with a potential move to Manchester City. Juventus reportedly values the defender at over €20 million. This valuation is significant as it would represent a pure capital gain for the club, which could be used to finance new signings in the upcoming transfer window. Pep Guardiola is said to have taken a liking to Savona since the Champions League group stage match between Juventus and City.
However, Savona is not the only name on City`s radar, as their current shortlist apparently includes two other players. The first is Wesley, a Brazilian currently playing for Flamengo, and the second is Tino Livramento from Newcastle. Wesley was reportedly very close to joining Atalanta a year ago, but the deal fell through. Flamengo`s sporting director, Bruno Spindel, previously explained the collapse of those negotiations, stating: “The negotiations went on for a while, reaching values that seemed positive for all parties. Suddenly, Atalanta withdrew from the negotiation. There was a small discussion about the clause regarding the date to complete the entire process for the player`s registration. We made a small change, sent the document back for review, it would have been an important, complex deal. Then, in the morning, they said they wouldn`t accept it.”
Tino Livramento, on the other hand, carries a significantly different price tag. While Savona and Wesley might be valued in the range of €20 to €25 million, the English defender`s release could command a fee closer to fifty million euros. This figure is reportedly considered excessive by Manchester City.
