Savelli (Libero): “Se la Juve perde anche solo una delle gare con Bologna e Lazio può considerarsi fuori dalla prossima Champions”

`Claudio

In today`s edition of Libero, Claudio Savelli provided his analysis on the race for Champions League qualification in Serie A. He believes Atalanta is almost guaranteed a spot, noting that the three teams pursuing them – Juventus, Bologna, and Lazio – are set to face each other.

According to Savelli, only one Champions League spot remains available among these three clubs, and the outcome will be decided by fine margins and direct head-to-head encounters. Juventus must secure a win at home against Monza before facing two consecutive away matches against their direct rivals, Bologna first and then Lazio.

Savelli strongly states that if Juventus were to lose even one of these two crucial away games, their chances of qualifying for the next Champions League would effectively be over. He suggests that, at a minimum, Juventus needs to achieve two draws in these fixtures to prevent their rivals from gaining a significant points advantage.

For Lazio, wins against Parma and Empoli are essential to make their match against Juventus truly significant in the qualification context. Bologna, on the other hand, could potentially afford a draw against Juventus if they manage to secure a victory away at Udine. Regarding Roma`s prospects, Savelli quotes Ranieri, implying that their qualification would require a highly improbable collapse from the teams currently ahead of them.
