Sabato: “Tudor Must Rebuild Everything, I Don’t Understand Why Weah Is For Sale”

Former footballer Antonio Sabato discussed current football matters on TMW Radio`s “Maracanà” program, offering his perspective on various Serie A clubs.

Inter, how do you see Pio Esposito?

“I`ve known him since the youth teams; he always played against older players. He just needed experience, and it`s right that he returns and gets his opportunities. Now he needs to prove himself and learn from Lautaro and Thuram. When Pio Esposito plays, he is the main striker, and Lautaro plays around him. With Bonny, they could form a good quartet.”

Tudor, a defeat that should make Juve reflect?

“Tudor has to rebuild everything. I`m confident that when Bremer returns, many things will return to normal. However, they need a few more players because the squad is incomplete. For now, the assessment is negative; significant hard work will be required. But if you don`t have a competitive squad, the job is difficult. They`ve put Weah up for sale, but he has pace, and I don`t understand this decision.”

Milan, who do you see as the striker? Gyokeres has also been mentioned:

“I`d focus on the midfield. If they sign Xhaka, that`s good, but they need some ball-winning midfielders, someone who can recover possession. The issue is also at the back among the centre-backs; that department needs strengthening.”

How do you see Gasperini at Roma?

“It`s a question mark. Working in Rome isn`t like Bergamo. There`s a doubt, but he has experience, although let`s remember how it went at Inter.”

Napoli, who will arrive upfront as another striker?

“I believe Lukaku will always play. I don`t know if Nunez can play alongside him. He usually plays with one striker and two high wingers.”
