Rosucci Discusses Difficult Seasons and Renewed Juventus Enthusiasm

`Martina

Martina Rosucci recently shared her thoughts with Sky Sport. Below are her key statements:

Speaking about the 28th edition of the Selis Trophy, a tournament for girls born in 2014 which now includes female participants: “It`s a pleasure to be here in this wonderful setting, especially for such an important tournament that truly welcomes women`s football. These are the small steps that pave the way for women`s football to grow. There was also significant emphasis on solidarity, making it a tournament that fully embodies the values of sport.”

Reflecting on the recent Coppa Italia final victory, just hours after the match: When asked about the lasting impact of this win and the ongoing desire to celebrate after a highly positive season, Rosucci responded:

“Yes, this year, thanks to Cristiana (Girelli) and indeed everyone, but she certainly had an extraordinary season. We`ve returned to winning ways. It`s not that we completely lacked trophies in previous years, as we always brought at least one home annually, but we had two very challenging seasons. Therefore, winning both the Scudetto (league title) and the Coppa Italia (cup) in the same season was extremely important. We feel a great deal of enthusiasm, and we earned everything through hard work. In my opinion, victories achieved after overcoming difficulty are even more valuable.”

On whether those difficult seasons were formative and strengthening for the team: When questioned about the impact of the challenging periods on the team`s development, she commented:

“Yes, sometimes negative experiences build you up more than positive ones. When we first started, we won immediately for five consecutive years. Then we encountered some difficulties, but we learned a great deal in the past two years. We grew significantly as players, but more importantly, as individuals. And crucially, I believe we now know how to better integrate new players arriving at Juventus, helping them understand what it truly means to wear this jersey.”
