Rabiot’s Mother Petitions Against Fan Abuse: “Let’s Defend Respectful Football”

Rabiot`s Mother Petitions Against Fan Abuse

Adrien Rabiot was recently involved in an unpleasant incident during a match between PSG and Marseille. Paris Saint-Germain fans insulted the French midfielder with chants and banners, provoking a reaction from Rabiot and others.

Veronique Rabiot, Adrien`s mother and agent, has started a public support petition following the insults directed at her son and family by Paris Saint-Germain fans. The fans also targeted Rabiot`s father, who passed away after a long illness.

Here is the petition launched by Rabiot`s mother: “I am speaking out not only as a mother but also as a citizen who values respect, dignity, and justice. For too long, stadiums have been the scene of targeted, personal, and humiliating insults. Chants, banners, and hateful messages are not a tradition of fans; they are verbal violence, often sexist, racist, and defamatory, which have no place in our society, let alone in stadiums. This is a fight that goes beyond my personal situation; it concerns everyone. We must defend a football of passion and respect, so that no mother, father, sister, or brother ever becomes the target of insults.”
