Professor Bertinetti Discusses Juventus’ Search for a New Striker

The question of “Who will be the new center forward?” was recently posed by Professor Paolo Bertinetti in his editorial for the Turin edition of La Repubblica. Bertinetti is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Turin and serves as the president of the national association Friends of Juventus.

Professor Bertinetti offered his perspective on potential signings, stating, “David is a second striker, and it`s not very likely that Osimhen will arrive.” He then raised concerns about the current situation with Dusan Vlahovic, asking, “What should be done with Vlahovic? Logically, he ought to be placed with a team he prefers, especially if the club doesn`t intend to keep him on the bench. But how will this situation resolve itself?” He also pondered the futures of other players like Douglas Luiz and the issue of both existing and new “deadwood” within the squad. Bertinetti concluded by suggesting that the three signings requested by coach Tudor will ultimately define the character of the new Juventus team. He stressed that these additions must be effective, unlike some from the previous year, and highlighted the crucial need to reinforce the defense.
