Tiago Djaló, like the rest of the Porto squad and staff, is currently enjoying his holiday period. However, the Portuguese international is scheduled to return to the club on July 27th, the date FC Porto begins preparations for the upcoming Club World Cup.
His required presence during the Club World Cup period is explicitly included in the loan agreement established with Juventus when the player initially arrived at FC Porto. Despite the issues that have arisen, no agreement has been reached for an early termination of the contract, meaning the commitment previously made with the Italian club remains in effect.
Consequently, even if he does not actively participate on the field during the tournament, Tiago Djaló is contractually obligated to remain with FC Porto until after the team concludes its participation in the competition held in the United States.
Djaló`s significant problems at Porto reportedly stem from a night out attending Otávio`s birthday party last April. This incident led to the opening of internal disciplinary proceedings. The situation heavily penalized Tiago Djaló, who was uniquely excluded from the main squad and forced to train separately at Olival at different times from the rest of the group.
According to Portuguese reports, Djaló faced harsher disciplinary consequences because he had allegedly reiterated this type of conduct, which contravenes the club`s internal regulations. This occurred in a season where he also made his debut for the Portuguese national team.
After his loan spell at FC Porto concludes following the Club World Cup period, the player will return to Juventus, the club with which he holds a contract until 2026, to discuss and determine his future.
