Former Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, recently unveiled as a new signing for Monaco, concluded his press conference today with an emotional message following the tragic death of Diogo Jota`s family members, including his brother André Silva, in a road accident overnight.
“It`s sad news for everyone; it was a shock,” the visibly moved Frenchman stated. “I was very surprised. To him, to his family, I extend my sincere condolences. You never know what might happen. You must cherish every moment with your family, with those you love.”
The tragedy prompted deep introspection from Pogba. “Even concerning people who may have wronged you, sometimes you feel vengeful… But this morning, this tragedy helped me tell myself: forgive. Perhaps cherish the time you have left, because we don`t know how much time any of us has,” he shared.
