Pjanic: “Roma vs Juventus? I Won More in Turin, but Rome is a Special City”

`Pjanic:

In an interview with `Il Tempo`, Miralem Pjanic, reflecting on his experiences with both Roma and Juventus ahead of their upcoming league match on Sunday, spoke about his time with the Giallorossi. He stated, “I cried when I left Rome because I had fallen in love with the city. My five years there were wonderful, but unfortunately, I couldn`t achieve the level of victory I dreamed of. To have won something significant there would have been extraordinary, and it was a shame to encounter such a dominant Juventus side. With the Roma team we had then, I believe we could compete for the Scudetto today. While I achieved more titles in Turin, the Roma jersey resonated deeply with me. I loved the city, the derbies, everything about it. Rome is a city that makes you feel special; in very few other places do you experience such intense love for football, with the fans providing incredible support.”

Pjanic further commented on the match scheduled for Sunday, noting, “Currently, Roma has greater stability, without a doubt. Juventus, on the other hand, changed their coach due to results falling short of expectations. Considering the team`s potential, I anticipated from the start of the season that Roma should be in their current position. They were significantly underperforming until Ranieri`s arrival.”
