Football commentator Maurizio Pistocchi recently weighed in on the situation at Juventus following their significant away defeat against Parma. Pistocchi drew a clear comparison between the results achieved under Thiago Motta before his dismissal and the current performance of the team led by Igor Tudor. He shared his assessment as follows:
“When Thiago Motta was sacked, Juve was just 1 point shy of securing 4th place, Vlahovic`s statistics were dreadful, among the new signings Koopmeiners was a disappointment, and they constantly conceded goals from set pieces. After 4 matchdays under Tudor, with two narrow victories (against Genoa and Lecce), one draw (against Roma), and one defeat (against Parma), Juve remains 1 point away from 4th place, Vlahovic`s numbers are still dreadful, Koopmeiners is effectively a ghost (battling between limited pitch time and injuries), and they continue to concede goals, specifically from headers. Yet, the `well-informed` insist that Tudor has transformed Juventus.”
