Genoa coach Patrick Vieira recently shared insights into the coaches who shaped his career, speaking with Gazzetta dello Sport. He highlighted his nine years under Arsène Wenger at Arsenal, praising Wenger`s open communication and stating he “helped me grow a lot.” Vieira also acknowledged José Mourinho`s skill in managing teams under pressure and Roberto Mancini`s mental guidance.
“And then Capello, first at Milan and then at Juve. But experiences in the youth sector at City and Strasbourg were fundamental,” Vieira added, describing Fabio Capello as one of his “masters”.
Asked if his playing career in Italy was beneficial, he replied:
“Milan, Juve, Inter. Absolutely yes, those years were definitely useful.”
