Following the recent match between Parma and Napoli at the Stadio Tardini, several Napoli fans have been issued with a DASPO (an Italian stadium ban).

The announcement was made by the Parma Provincial Police Headquarters via an official statement. The statement extended thanks to all personnel involved in managing public order throughout the 2024-25 football season, specifically highlighting the dedication shown during the Parma-Napoli fixture on Sunday, May 18th, a match anticipated by both fan bases.

The police confirmed that, despite attempts by a significant number of visiting ultras without valid tickets to enter their reserved sector, the match proceeded smoothly without major disturbances to public order or safety. This was attributed to the combined efforts, attention, and professionalism of all law enforcement personnel and other contributing entities.

During the security operations for this match, operational measures coordinated with Parma Calcio successfully prevented approximately 300 Neapolitan fans without tickets from gaining entry. These individuals were monitored outside the stadium for the duration of the game.

Furthermore, during the entry checks, two visiting supporters were found in possession of flares, which were confiscated. These individuals will be reported for violating Article 6 ter of Law 401/89 and subsequent amendments. Procedures for issuing DASPO bans against them are currently underway. Similar actions, based on analysis of closed-circuit surveillance footage from the Stadio Tardini, are also being pursued against those who ignited flares inside the visitors` sector during the match.
