Parma and Juve Celebrate: Women’s Teams Achieve Serie A Success

Parma and Juve, double celebration

Parma and Juventus are both celebrating their women`s teams. Juventus Women, coached by Canzi, clinched the Scudetto title yesterday. Today, Parma Women joyously secured their promotion to Serie A.

The Parma club announced on their website that Parma Calcio Women is officially back in Serie A. After a home victory against Genoa in the 26th matchday of the league, Salvatore Colantuono`s team mathematically achieved promotion to the top tier of women`s football with four games to spare in the Serie B Femminile season.

With an impressive record of 21 wins, 4 draws, and only one defeat in 26 games, Parma Women have dominated the season. They hold a significant 13-point lead over Genoa, who are fourth in the league table. This advantage guarantees Parma`s return to Serie A, where they haven`t played since the 2022/23 season.

Despite securing promotion with four games remaining, Parma Women are focused on the race for the top spot. They are currently just two points behind Ternana, who lead the league. The battle for the championship title will continue until the final matchday, as Parma aims to conclude an exceptional season in the best possible way.

Celebrations have already begun in Noceto. Following the game against Genoa, the players celebrated on the field, wearing commemorative shirts with the promotional slogan: “Why not?”.

“Why not?” is a direct message stemming from the club`s philosophy and the words of President Kyle J. Krause. In 2022, when asked by a journalist about the reason for acquiring the sports title of Parma Calcio Women, Krause famously responded: “Why not?”. He reiterated this sentiment at the beginning of this season during the last Serie A Festival, strongly supporting the idea that believing in women`s football and its opportunities should be considered natural and not extraordinary.
