Former footballer Alessandro Orlando shared his thoughts on Fiorentina`s reported target, Florian Thauvin from Udinese. Speaking on Radio FirenzeViola`s `Viola Amore Mio` broadcast, Orlando offered his assessment of the player.
“Recently, he was a valuable asset for Udinese, and I specifically emphasize `for Udinese`. His situation might be a bit more complex in Florence. Technically, there`s no doubt about his quality as a player. However, his age and the physical issues he`s encountered in the latter part of the season are factors that need consideration.”
“He`s a technical, skilled, and experienced player who operates as an attacking midfielder but shows a preference for playing on the right side of the pitch. He`s now reaching the end of his career; he doesn`t have the explosive speed he once did, but he possesses a deep understanding of the game and how to utilize space effectively. I often use Del Piero and Baggio as examples – they were two players who, late in their careers, commanded the game primarily through their exceptional footballing intelligence.”
