Morata: I’ll be the happiest man alive if we win the Champions League

Juventus new striker Alvaro Morata was presented to the media today, as he spoke in a press conference.

“I’m very happy to be here once again, this the place where I grew up as a player and as a man.”

“I think that I’m in the right place at the right time, now I have more experience and I know how to not get caught in the bad moments. This is the opportunity of a lifetime for me.”

Pirlo? “I already predicted that he would coach Juve. I’m already impressed by what I saw in my 2 training sessions, the group management level is high.”

My goalscoring record? “Of course as a striker you would like to score 30-40 goals per season but what matters is winning.”

“It doesn’t matter if I scored only 15 as long as I won a lot, otherwise I would just play tennis.”

My role? “I’m ready to do what the coach asks me to do, I’m here to play for the team.”

Cristiano? “I’ve always had a great relationship with him, he told me he’s happy that I’m here. I know him very well.”

Most important change? “When I was younger, I used to pay a lot of attention to criticis, but now I know what I have to do.”

My objectives here? “The Champions League is a trophy everyone has in mind, winning it this year would make the happiest man alive, so yeah, we want to win it.”

“We are one of the strongest teams in the world and we have to work hard to achieve our goals.”

The Scudetto? “People think the league has little value when a team keeps winning but that’s not true. Serie A has become perhaps the best league in the world in the eyes of the players who are here'”

“Leaving Juventus wasn’t my choice, it wasn’t up to me. I always felt the trust of the club even when I wasn’t here.”

“Now I’m here again, I have some great memories here but now we have new challenges to face together.”
