Danilo: Uefa not really worried about the players

Juventus player, Danilo, spoke to Sky Sports microphones.

The Super League?

“I think that if 12 clubs have accepted this new project it is because they have seen that there is a need for some changes in football.”

“I don’t know if the Superlega project would have been the right one, but now we will all have to speak together for some changes, also to save football because Covid has affected every aspect of life and football has not been spared.”

“I think that if Uefa were really so worried about the players, they would not have made us travel so much in the midst of a pandemic and they would not have made us play so much in this difficult year. As a footballer, it was not at all pleasant to be threatened by Uefa and Fifa.”

Finishing in TOP 4?

“There is no team that is more scary or stronger than another. There are many teams enclosed in a few points, the reality is I think we have to look at ourselves and try to win all the games that remain until the end: if that happens then we will definitely qualify for the Champions League once again.”

This season?

“We have had a decent season, as it has been a year of change and it is never easy to change so much and be able to play good games and win them all. However I think that if we win the Italian Cup and finish second this will be a good season.”

Ronaldo seems angry when he doesn’t score?

“Cristiano is like that, it’s not new. It was like that in Madrid, it’s always been like that here too: he needs to score to be happier, he gets angry when he doesn’t score.”

“He still has this motivation despite having scored a lot in his career, but he always wants to keep doing it. Cristiano, however, knows that the team goals have the priority over his personal goals, so the day after any match he is already focused on winning the next match.”
