Golf legend Tiger Woods was reportedly involved in a car accident in Florida, according to media reports.
The Martin County Sheriff’s office confirmed a vehicle rollover on Jupiter Island. However, it remains unconfirmed if the car involved was Woods’ vehicle, and details regarding the health status of the American, who resides there, are currently unknown. A press conference is scheduled for 11:00 PM CET (5:00 PM ET) to provide further information.
The incident occurred shortly after 2:00 PM local time. This is not the 50-year-old’s first involvement in a car crash; in 2021, Woods suffered severe leg injuries in a multi-vehicle rollover in California, which subsequently required him to undergo several surgeries.
Woods had recently made a comeback as part of the TGL indoor league and had not definitively ruled out participation in the Masters (starting April 9th). He continues to battle the effects of a spinal disc operation he underwent last October, which marked his seventh back surgery. Additionally, he has dealt with a past Achilles tendon rupture. He has not competed in any tournaments since the British Open in the summer of 2024.
