In his editorial for Tuttomercatoweb, Nesti clarified that the graphic broadcast mistakenly included his name. He believes the station likely, in good faith, reused an outdated format from a previous misunderstanding that occurred months ago.
Nesti stated that he was the original creator of the `Arbitrometro` column around 10 years ago, but the statistical compilation was entrusted to Massimo Fiandrino. Since that time, Nesti asserts he has had no further involvement with the project, which calculates refereeing or VAR incidents based on reports published weekly by `La Gazzetta dello Sport`.
Crucially, Nesti expressed his complete disagreement with any assessment, such as the one implied by the graphic, that suggests circumstances have favored Juventus. He maintains that, from his impartial perspective, Juventus has faced numerous decisions against them in the current championship. He also noted that the team`s own weaknesses and injury issues have been significant factors in their performance.
Nesti concluded by stating his regret for the persistent and troublesome misunderstanding caused by the graphic error, which he readily forgave as a human mistake.
