Milan is continuing its search for a new sporting director. After Fabio Paratici became unavailable, the Rossoneri management is still looking for someone to fill this role and lead the technical direction, potentially with a new coach. According to reports, Tony D`Amico, currently the sporting director of Atalanta, was the top candidate. However, Atalanta`s insistence on honoring his contract until 2027 has made negotiations very challenging for Milan`s management. Currently, the other three names under consideration are Igli Tare, Giovanni Manna, and Giovanni Sartori.
Igli Tare is currently without a club, having left Lazio. He is reportedly the preferred choice of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who might also consider hiring Massimiliano Allegri or Antonio Conte as coach. Giovanni Manna, the current sporting director of Napoli after working with Juventus` youth sector, is also said to be pushing for Antonio Conte. He has a strong relationship with the coach from Lecce. Giovanni Sartori, similar to Tony D`Amico, is under contract with Bologna until 2027, making his appointment more complicated.
