Milan, Reijnders: ‘Winning Coppa Italia wouldn’t save season’

`Tijjani

In a recent interview with The Athletic, Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders admitted that a victory in the Coppa Italia final would not be enough to salvage the team`s season. He commented, “No, no, no. We cannot say that winning would make it a good season. Of course, we would secure two trophies, but Milan needs to compete for the Scudetto and advance as far as possible in the Champions League. This hasn`t happened.”

Reijnders added, “Fortunately, we have a final left to play which gives us a chance to win another trophy. But still, no [it doesn`t save the season]. It`s a mix of feelings.”
