Marelli’s Assessment: Inzaghi’s Red Card and Possible Suspension

Marelli: "Red card for Inzaghi, we don`t know if he will miss one or two games"

Luca Marelli, speaking on DAZN, commented on Inzaghi`s sending off: “Inzaghi`s first yellow card stemmed from a potential foul on Thuram at the edge of the penalty area by Ehizibue, which wasn`t whistled. There was contact, but it wasn`t significant. If the referee had called it, it would have been a free kick. However, this is a minor incident as VAR couldn`t intervene.

Later in the game, Inzaghi was sent off for protesting a foul on Correa, resulting in a direct red card. It remains uncertain whether the coach will receive a one or two-match ban. This yellow card will be added to his prior accumulation. Lastly, Mkhitaryan should have been cautioned for his bicycle kick foul on Kristiansen.
