Fabio Liverani, former coach of Genoa, Lecce, Parma, Cagliari, and Salernitana, spoke to Radiosei about Juventus` decision to dismiss Thiago Motta and appoint Igor Tudor as the first team coach. Here are his comments:

Were you surprised by Thiago Motta`s dismissal?

“Juventus` situation was very complicated. Regardless of the timing and manner, the last matches sent a negative signal at Juventus. There was no reaction, leading to the change. Tudor is a coach with character, who spent many years in Turin and has the famous DNA, but I don`t think that alone is enough to fix the problems. We need to see if there will be a strong reaction in the first few games. If so, Juventus becomes a difficult opponent for a Champions League spot. Otherwise, the problems will continue regardless of the coach.”
